AMD Athlon X2 7000 Series Makes Debut

AMD has officially presented the new Athlon X2 processor series 7000, based on the same architecture of cpu Phenom X4 and Phenom X3 although with only 2 core processor operating.

The Athlon X2 processor 7750 Black Edition operating with clock frequency of 2.7 GHz and integrates its own two cores, each coupled to 512 Kbytes of L2 cache. Completing the technical characteristics of this cpu 2 Mbytes of L3 cache between the two unified core, memory controller and DDR2-1066 HyperTransport 3.0 bus for connecting to the motherboard.

Alongside this cpu, with a frequency multiplier unlocked so as to facilitate the overclock, we find the Athlon X2 7550 model, solution by identical specifications but with clock frequency of 2.5 GHz. For both these processors emphasize the value of TDP maximum of 95 watts.

With the debut of the new AMD has practiced some changes to their pricelist official Athlon X2 processors, which are below:

The Athlon X2 7550 model is not yet listed in the official list price of AMD as available, at least at the moment, only version Tray and then intended only to OEM customers. For this cpu the official rate should be equal to 69 U.S. dollars, 10 U.S. dollars less than the 7750 model Athlon X2 BE.
